Butter is better, especially when it comes from organic, grass-fed dairy. Not only does it taste better, it’s better for your health, supports sustainable farmers and healthier dairy cows, and diminishes feedlots and inhumane practices.
Interestingly, plants can convert sunlight into chemical energy through a process known as photosynthesis. Cows naturally transform this solar energy into food: sun, grass, milk. Adversely, grain-feeding disturbs this natural cycle: fossil fuels, chemical fertilisers, grains, milk.
Unfortunately cows cannot digest grains well, it makes them sick and in-turn they require more medication and antibiotics. Grass-fed dairy is more sustainable: they can graze on organic, nutritious pastures with healthy soil and we are left with a more whole, natural food.
